We had a pleasant stay at Sansui Ryokan. the staff was very friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. the futons provided surprisingly comfortable sleep, and the room was clean and adequate. the location was convenient, being within walking distance of the main tourist areas and just a minute away from a tram station that directly connects to the main rail station. We especially appreciated the warm welcome and the provided yukata, as well as the tea in the room. a cozy family inn that offers a genuine experience. Cons: No steep stairs and limited luggage space. 😕.

The owner was friendly and helpful, and the place was clean and just right for the price. I would stay there again.
Can`t say I didn`t like anything.

Very friendly and helpful lady. Looked after luggage after I had checked out, so I could sightsee.
Did not tell me that I needed to order breakfast the night before, so I cold not get breakfast.

Great location near train station and tram stop. Friendly owner who provides helpful tips. Clean and comfortable Japanese-style rooms
Lack of sound isolation, could hear noise from other guests. Steep stairs to the rooms.

The woman who ran the Inn was sooo cute! She didn't speak hardly any English, but you could still understand most of what she was getting across. I liked how homey the place felt. The owner had my name written on a board when I walked in to welcome me, and she had photos of everyone who stayed there all pinned up along the stair walls.
The stairs were super steep and narrow going up to the rooms, so you really had to take you time and pay attention going up and down them. The beds weren't the best and the pillow was bad. It made me think I was sleeping on a bag of rice.

Nice simple accommodation. When you arrive its off with your shoes and on with their slippers. You are given a simple run down on the facilities, breakfast is sorted out up front in terms of western or japanese ...no fuss. Main tourist spots are pointed out and simplest way the get to Miyajima. Bedding is a futton an tatami mats and you have air-con in the room. Great Wi-Fi included in the price and this beats all the hotels with the LAN cable. Breakfast is an extra charge. 600 or 700 Yen per person and worth it. Can rent bikes for 300 Yen a day. No gears but fortunately there are very few inclines in Hiroshima.
I was fine with it as I read previous reviews. There are steep stairs with small width steps. Not fun for a heavy case and if you are not expecting it. The shower and toilets are shared. Again no problem if you have read the reviews or description properly. None of these things were of concern to us but the stairs could be a real issue for some.

had an amazing stay at a cozy ryokan in hiroshima this time. the host was incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. the location was perfect, just a short walk to the peace park and close to the tram stop for exploring the city. definitely exceeded expectations!
One small issue, something was missing in the room.

The woman who runs Sansui is lovely and kind. Plus she makes great breakfasts! I was sad to say goodbye.
The stairs are very narrow and steep.

The owners are friendly and will give you a map and directions of the main attractions.
This is not a ryokan, but more a pension. Our room had a funny smell and the facilities are quite run down. There is much better accommodation in town for thesame price. We moved to the Oriental for the same rate and it is much more comfortable and in a better location.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sansui Ryokan! The host was kind and helpful, giving us great tips and allowing us to check in early. The location was perfect, close to everything but still quiet. The traditional ryokan style added to the experience, and the provided robes were a lovely touch. Highly recommend!
Would recommend this hotel.

We loved the convenient location, being close to attractions and a great sushi place. The wifi was fast, and the rooms were clean and nicely furnished. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing recommendations for restaurants and activities within walking distance. The trolley stop nearby made transportation easy.
Felt right at home, no complaints.

The bad outweighed the good.
The owner refused to accept a credit card. "Dame desu", she said. She doesn`t like them. Zero points for Booked.net also for saying the ryokan accepts credit cards. This caused me problems over a national holiday.
